River Trent - Wilford Suspension Bridge 11, Nottingham

Third party contractors, Inertia Consulting Ltd on behalf of Severn Trent Water, will be carrying out an inspection on Wilford Suspension Bridge 11 in Nottingham on the River Trent. 

Contractors will be undertaking a principal inspection & full structural condition survey which requires the use of roped access, a mobile elevated work platform and an emergency boat in reserve on the river.  

Navigation will remain open to boating traffic but delays of up to 20 minutes are possible to allow enough time for contractors to clear the navigation.

Passing boats are asked to pass by the location slowly, and with caution.

Towpath to remain open, although connection from both sides of the river is not guaranteed due to the access across Wilfred Suspension Bridge and could be restricted for certain contractor operations.
