Advice: Lock 84, Dale Street, Rochdale Canal

Please be advised there has been a delay with third-party contractors receiving equipment to remove graffiti from a building establishment adjacent to our canal at Lock 84 on the Rochdale Canal.

Whilst both towpath and navigation will continue to remain open throughout, there may be occasions where customers may be asked to wait to allow the third-party contractors make way for a safe passage to complete their works and for boaters to be able to operate the lock.

We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors on site.

We anticipate the works to be completed by Friday 10 May
