The charity making life better by water

Customer Forum

As part of our commitment to engage with the boaters on our canal network in Wales, we hosted a customer forum for users of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal at Llanfoist Village Hall.

The forum provided Trust staff with the opportunity to deliver presentations on the Trust’s ongoing work to maintain the 35-mile navigable section of the canal.

There were also opportunities for the boaters and boating businesses in attendance to participate in question and answer sessions with Trust staff as part of the forum.

You can revisit the discussions by watching the videos below from the forum.

Alex Hampton

Senior engineer Alex Hampton discusses the engineering projects that the Trust have undertaken on the Mon & Brec, as well as detailing what future works are planned.

Hannah Booth

Business boating manager Hannah Booth provides an update on water abstraction from the River Usk.

Lee Brain

Lee Brain, area operations manager for the canal, offers an operational review and looks ahead to future works on the canal.

Rob Williams

Ecologist Rob Williams reflects on some of the environmental projects that have been taking place and some of the improvements to support wildlife on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal.
